I want to thank Sanjay Singh who kindly gave me feedback along the way and Marcus Perry who took the time to help and teach me composing.

I learned how to place and shape guides, how to use modifiers, and how to render hair after becoming a member of J Hill's Character Art team. At the same time, I experimented with Xgen. After completing this task I can say that I feel more confident blocking out anatomy, playing with the form, and painting skin. My main focus was to improve my sculpting and texturing skills and to expand my knowledge of character art. I sculpted and detailed the deer in Zbrush, retopology in Maya, hand painted the textures in Substance Painter, lighting and rendering in Maya Arnold, hair using Xgen, and made the final composition in Photoshop. Rebirth was inspired by the beautiful work of Xu Tianhu and my personal journey to becoming a skilled artist. I am happy to share with you my latest personal project.
